The Verified HomeBuyer I.D. idea was conceived in May 2018 after an unfortunate experience with a buyer I had been working with for several months. In the end, the buyer ghosted me and purchased one of the homes I had personally shown him. The problem? There was no electronic lockbox record, no digital verification, and ultimately no reliable way to prove I had been there with him at that property on that day. As a result, I had no practical way to support a Procuring Cause claim for my compensation on a $500,000 sale.

That experience sparked a simple realization: There had to be a better way…for all of us.

Then the idea came to me — almost as if it had been downloaded directly into my brain.

Sitting on my couch that day, the framework for what would eventually become Verified HomeBuyer I.D. began to unfold. What started as a solution to one frustrating problem quickly revealed something much bigger. I realized the Verified HomeBuyer I.D. system could help solve many of the outdated inefficiencies, safety concerns, communication gaps, and client verification challenges agents and lenders face every day in our industry.

There was only one obstacle: I couldn’t find the right team to help build my specific vision — until 8 years later in November 2025. That’s when I met Florian Klein.

Since then, after hundreds of hours of development, testing, coding, refining, and working through real-world scenarios that real estate professionals encounter daily, the platform has finally reached a point where we feel ready for a soft launch.
